Visa on Arrival

The Dubai visa on arrival for Malaysian citizens is a recent development and it showcases the strengthening relations between Malaysia and UAE. There are not many Eastern countries that have this privilege, but now, Malaysia has been added to the list. Overall, only 33 countries’ citizens can get a visa on arrival in Dubai. This number is so low because many people try to enter Dubai owing to its prosperity and employment opportunities.

The visa on arrival is a 30-day visa and allows you to stay in Dubai for up to 30 days, and has a validity of 90 days, meaning, you can avail of the opportunity anytime in a period of 90 days once it has been issued. However, there are a few important conditions that must be met for you to get Dubai visa. These conditions are:

  • Only Malaysian citizens can get this visa. If someone is merely staying in Malaysia and is not a citizen of the country, they will not be eligible for the visa on arrival.
  • The stay has to be a short stay, i.e. 30 days. Anything more will require another type of visa, and this visa will have to be applied for and taken in advance for your travel to Dubai.
  • The 30-days visa on arrival is a tourist visa, which you can also use to visit your family and friends. However, you cannot look for employment in the country based on this visa. You will be fined, banned, and the organisation that hires you will also face hefty fines.
  • Usually, no extension of stay is allowed under this visa, but in case there is a medical emergency, only then will an extension be possible.
  • Follow all the rules and regulations of UAE and other local laws.
