Ramadan Buffets 2018 Review | Pulai Springs Resort Johor Bahru


This Ramadhan, Pulai Springs Resort is delighted to once again host a feast of local and international cuisine especially for its "Bufet Citra ala Bazar" buffet promotion from 19 May to 13 June 2018.

During the dinner, guest can relish in the spacious "bazaar" ambience of Gleneagles Terrace Restaurant as they browse through over 15 food stalls and both indoor and outdoor buffet displays to select and savour their favourite Ramadan delights.

The restaurant's brigade of skilled chefs, headed by Senior Sous Chef Rusle Ahmad has prepared a spectacular array of more than 100 must-have buka puasa dishes. The buffet spread will boast a plethora of piquant local salads, pickles, meat, seafood, barbecue and carving station, Middle Eastern, Western and Chinese food corners, soups, desserts, an assortment of hot and spicy dishes prepared on the spot and free flow of selected drinks and local popular desserts in six rotational menus.

Buffets highlights include authentic Kelantanese dish; lamb kuzi, roasted with the finest herbs and spices to entice the appetite and served with briyani rice, ayam masak opor dengan kentang dan terung, tulang rusuk masak merah, butter prawn with curry leaves as well as evergreen favorites such as traditional kambing gulai kawah and sup tulang merah or sup gear box with French load and sambal kicap.

In addition, there will be local favorites and stalls serving mputh-watering asam pedas Johor dan gulai lemak with a choice of ikan pari, ikan siakap, ikan kembung, ikan tenggiri, laksa Johor, murtabak, sate daging dan ayam, famous wok-fried mee goreng ala mamak and Penang Char Kway Teow; to name a few that will be prepared on the spot.

On top of that, there will be stalls serving pizza, roti john, otak-otak, barbecued items such as roasted whole lamb, lamb shoulder, chicken wings, sausages and ikan bakar with various types of sauces. There will  also be the old time favourite "goreng-goreng" stall serving all sorts of fried items such as pisang goreng, keledek goreng, durian goreng, popia, samosa, hati ayam, pedal ayam & paru lembu served with sambal kicap, chili sauce and Thai sauce.

Not forgetting the greens, there will be ulam-ulam kampung with sambal, a selection of kerabu (Malaysian and Thai salads) like kerabu taugeh dengan kerang, kerabu ulam raja, kerabu pucuk ubi, kerabu som tham ala Thai, acar pulang hari and acar mentah.

And a refreshing conclusion awatis, with sweet delights such as Malaysia's favourite ice-dessert, the "ABC" and Cendol and an array of local and Western desserts, fresh fruits, bread and butter pudding, teh tarik and the popular coconut shake - a famous dessert sold in Klebang, Melaka.

For guests' convenience, during the "Bufet Citra ala Bazar" promotion period, the resort will have a designated prayer room for Maghrib prayers.

The "Bufet Citra ala Bazar" buffet dinner is priced at RM108 per adult and RM54 per child. There will also ne one free buffet with every 9 full paying adults* (not valid with other discount schemes and programs). Patrons and early birds who would like to enjoy the buffet during the first week of Ramadan will only need to pay RM85 per adult and RM43 per child. Guests can also pre purchase vouchers at the resort before 10 May 2018 and save up to RM18 per person. Pre puchased vouchers are priced at only RM90 per adult and RM45 per child. All price are already inclusive GST.
